I am looking for a few good readers to engage in great conversation over a nice glass of wine. I would like to read all sorts of books from fascinating fiction to noteworthy non-fiction. This is a book club designed for women in their 30's, living in the South Orange County area.  We get together on the 2nd Saturday of every month to discuss group selected books.  Our meetings are usually held at a member's home and are potluck style.  Newcomers are always welcome, so please join us and be Booked for Lunch!

I love to read. I also love to dine out on Sunday mornings - breakfast, not brunch. On the 4th Sunday of every month, members of the group will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the book chosen. The new book for the next month will be announced at the current meeting.  There will be a $1.00 charge per member for each meeting which will be collected at the meeting.

We recruited Keith Jones, who has just published his third novel, to lead a group of aspiring writers. Each participant reads a few pages of his or her latest work, and receives supportive feedback and helpful suggestions.

Literary fiction writers group seeks additional members. Seeks serious short story and novel writers. The small writers group meets every two weeks at rotating locations in and around Downtown LB. The group format is patterned after UCLA Extension Writers' Program. Writers submit up to 15 pages of fiction one week in advance, read and make written critiques on manuscripts, and provide verbal feedback at meetings.
