We'll read award winning novels in a variety of genres: Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and Mystery. We'll mix it up as much as possible, while sticking to the major awards- World Fantasy, Hugo, Nebula, Bram Stoker and Edgar. If you're into reading great genre fiction and would like to discuss it with others, this is the group for you.
We will read contemporary/classic fiction and non- fiction about once a month. The books we read should be appealing to both genders. This group will not read Sisters Traveling Pants, The Boyfriend Diaries or whatever they are called. Just about anything else is fair game. The monthly books are selected after the last meeting on an online poll. Book suggestions for the poll are allotted to those have attended prior meetings. We meet the last Wednesday of each month.
Do you enjoy reading fiction? We read contemporary and classic fiction and get together monthly in New Haven to informally discuss a book. Group members suggest and vote on the next month's book after each meeting.
