Am I the only person in Boston who will admit to reading trashy romance novels and LOVING them? I've formed this group to find others who share my love and want to talk about the finer points of romance novels (because there are many!) in a fun, fantastically female environment. We'll pick a new novel to read every month, which could be anything from the latest Lisa Kleypas or Christine Warren to oldies but goodies like Persuasion or Rebecca. Join me for some great, though occasionally ribald co …
I’m trying to set up a book club. Here’s the criteria: (1) gay men (2) in the Boston area (3) reading fiction (4) and meeting every month or so. I used to be in a book club in the suburbs, with my wife and three other couples. But in 2010, when I came out … I got kicked out! Now I want to start up a new group. Rather than a large group with people participating some times and not others, it would be a small group, maybe 8-10 guys, who are committed to doing the reading and showing up each month. …
The Cambridge Book Club is based in Cambridge MA and is unique in alternating fiction and non-fiction reads. Reading selections are based on member suggestions and final member vote. We've been going strong for 2 years and we look forward to reading together and discussing the books we read! All readers, all ages are welcome!
This book club is open to all. We are located on the North Shore and want to encourage all interested book readers in joining a group that is well organized and democratic. We want members who are eclectic in the types of books they are want to read. So let me know if you are interested. Again, this book is open to all!

Do you love to read?! This is a group where women ages 20-40 can come together and connect through books. Join in for monthly book discussions around the city and connect with other women who share your love of reading.
This book club will meet on a monthly basis at the Panera Bread in Natick, MA. We will be alternating between reading non-fiction and fiction books. Suggestions for books to read will always be welcome. Each month, the chosen book will be based on everyone's voting on suggestions of books.
This club was created for women in their 20s and early 30s who enjoy reading and want to meet new people. The group will get together, talk about our latest book, and maybe have wine and appetizers as well.
In an effort to create a new kind of book club, this group is dedicated to combining a few wonderful and creative elements: literature, libations, and community. It is my hope that this group can explore a variety of literary works from best sellers to classics as dictated by the group. If you are a 20-30 something, interested in meeting up to discuss books, have good conversation, and perhaps some excellent wine or beer this is the group for you!
… I hope to inspire new and ongoing interest in reading. I envision the club reading everything from historical fiction and literary works to thrillers and graphic novels. Thanks to its members, the club will an engaging book interest group, discussion forum, and social club all rolled into one. The mission of the North Shore Book Club is simple: provide an opportunity to explore the excitement of literature, one of humankind's oldest forms of leisure, and to meet like-minded people along the way.

The Cambridge/Somerville Speculative Fiction Writers Group (or CamberSpec for short) is for everyone writing speculative fiction: fantasy, science fiction, steampunk, alternate history, magical realism, horror ... any sort of fiction that takes the 'real' world and adds a little twist. We welcome novelists, short story writers, and writers of novellas. We are united by our love of this genre, not by the length of the work we produce. CamberSpec is open to writers at every stage of their careers, …
… A few notes on format: We have two "cycles" of books going: (1) a monthly cycle, which meets on the last tuesday of every month and for which we read shorter novels, and (2) an extra meeting every few months to discuss a longer book which some people might not be able to make time to read in a month. At each meeting after the discussion we nominate books for the next meeting, then vote for which books we'd like to read in an online poll over the next several days. "To choose a good book, look in …
Every other week Wed at noon. We'll discuss some great books and have a chance to be social with other people who have free time during the week. Group members are welcome to suggest books of any genre-fiction, history, non-fiction, young adult, poetry, graphic novels etc.

… Our goal is to develop a group that meets regularly to critique ongoing original writing projects (novels, novellas, short stories, etc- no fan fiction, please). This group will not focus on writing exercises, rather, we will share already written projects (or portions of projects in the case of longer works) for reading in advance, and then critique them at our meetings. Each meeting we will critique approximately 2 pieces, depending on length and availability, and pieces will be available in a …

… (except for minor edits) Have you ever dreamed of writing your own book or novel someday but never got around to it because either you couldn't gain that extra boost of motivation or you just didn't know where to begin? Well, this group began with a few people who felt just the same way and surely enough with a weekly audience of listeners and feedback, the pen started flowing onto the paper like a lively river of imagination! Our name The Exotic Pen comes from the idea that every writer or auth …
