Do you ever read (or listen to) a book and just want to tell someone about it so you can laugh/cry/get emotional over it too? Me too. I love to read. And listen to books. And watch the movies of books that I can't get through. I really enjoying discussing what I liked and didn't like about books with some awesome people! And yeah, occasionally it's fun to talk about the themes and tone and antagonist, but sometimes it's just fun to talk about which actor would play which character in the movie. …

Good books, good food, good conversations! We're a small group of readers that likes to explore new things. Each month we choose a book and a restaurant to try, and we like to keep it diverse. Recent reads include The Etched City, Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail, The Portrait of Dorian Gray, and Anna Dressed in Blood. Our topics range wildly, sometimes related to the book, sometimes not. Think we're a good fit? Give us a try.

Good people reading good (and sometimes bad) books. I was surprised by the lack of book clubs in Fort Worth, so I decided to start one. We will read a mixture of fiction and nonfiction books and will meet at different locations around Fort Worth until we decide on a home-base location. We will meet in the evenings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. One Tuesday will be for discussing the assigned book for the month and the another Tuesday will be used as a "book swap" night. This group is f …

Hi. My name is Lorinda and I moved to Waxahachie this past April. I was a part of book club out of Long Beach, Mississippi. Unfortunately, due to the job market I had to relocate. So here I am ready to meet and make new female friends. This is a group for single women around the Waxahachie area also interested in making new friends. Although the book and travel club will focus on books and traveling, other activities are welcomed. Each members input will be encouraged and respected. Books read w …
Novel Ideas is a book club that doesn't usually go for the typical book selections. We read whatever anyone in the group suggests so it ends up being a varied set of choices. We meet every two weeks. You are welcome to come to meetings even if you didn't read the book as the purpose is to make new friends and meet people, not just to talk about a book. It is a very welcoming group so don't be afraid to join us.
This Book Club is specifically designed to put the power back in to your womanly hands. It is time for the modern woman to change the game, guard your heart, and empower your life through the art of womanhood. Each book will be carefully cherry picked to satisfy the palette of your taste buds using practical methods that actually work. What better way to start the New Year with a book that will get you moving in the right direction.
Love to read? Love to spend time in a book store? Are books practically a line item in the family budget? If your answer is "yes," come meet your people. Two years ago, we began with three readers as the McKinney Fiction Book Club with our first book - Cutting for Stone, a novel by Abraham Verghese. We loved it with a great and fiery passion and have been on a quest to find contemporary literature just as good ever since. Along the way we started a Classics series. Then we added some book-and …

This group centers around a fun writing exercise. To create Fast and Furious fiction based on a single inspirational sentence or excerpt from a newspaper, magazine or tabloid publication. I'll bring the pub, the group chooses the starter and we write for 30-45 minutes (tbd per meeting). Once we "put down our pencils" you can sit back and listen or share what you wrote. Depending on the size of the group and the venue we will read our mini masterpieces aloud or play musical laptops until everyone …

This group is for anyone who loves happily ever afters (with a whole lot of struggle). The books that warm our hearts and burn our panties. This group is to know there are more authors than the ones on the New York Times best sellers listing. Me personally, I'm tired of not having friends that read. I'd like to meet people who read what I do and are willing to share their thoughs and offer suggestions to new authors, fictional boyfriends and all around great love story.

Welcome fellow crafter! In Stitches is a unique meetup group where we are essentially an umbrella of many stitching opportunities! Basically we meet once a month between the 10th and 20th on a Tuesday night at 7:30. At the meeting, we cover discussion questions and share stories that relate to the novel we've read for that meeting. We also vote on the book for the next meeting. Laid-back group, meeting once a month to discuss all things writing, publishing, and writing-related. Writing can be a solitary profession and obsession, and it helps to know others who love the written word just as much as you do.
